Variable conditions trigger programs based on the value of a defined variable.
You can read more about variables in the section titled Using Variables.
IR conditions trigger programs when IR commands are received from a remote
control. See the section titled 3.5 The Integrated IR Receiver for more
information.
Module conditions trigger programs based on option ISY modules, such as the
Electricity meter module or the Climate module. See the section titled 3.9
Optional Modules for more information.
Elk conditions trigger programs based on the state of available Elk resources,
assuming you have an Elk security system installed and communicating with
your ISY, and have the optional Elk Security System module installed. More
information is available in the section titled 3.9 Optional Modules.
3.3.6 Program Actions
In the Add To Program button section, click ACTION to add an Action to your Program.
Program Actions are commands that are run when the IF statement is true (a THEN
action) or if the IF statement is no longer true (an ELSE action). When adding an Action
to your program, be sure to click the ADD TO THEN or ADD TO ELSE button
depending on your intended result.
Insteon actions send INSTEON commands to devices or scenes to turn them
ON, OFF, etc. Not all options available for all devices:
o ON (send a standard ON command)
o OFF (send a standard OFF command)
o FAST ON (turn device full on ignoring programmed on level or ramp rate)
o FAST OFF (turn device full off ignoring programmed ramp rate)
o FADE UP (start the ramp up of a dimmable device
o FADE DOWN (start the ramp down of a dimmable device)
o FADE TOP (stop the ramping up or down of a dimmable device)
o BRIGHT (small increase in brightness of a dimmable device)
o DIM (small decrease in brightness of a dimmable device)
o QUERY (query the current state of a device)
