3. TurnontheTV.

4. PressandholdMUTEandENTERatthesametimeuntilthegreenlightflashestwice.

5. Usingthenumberkeysenterthe5‐digitcodeforyourbrandofTV.Ifperformedcorrectly,

thegreenlightundertheTVflashestwice.

6. AimtheremoteatyourTVandpressVOLorMUTEkeyonce.YourTVshouldrampupor

downorMUTE.IfVolumedoesnotchange,repeatsteps3and5,tryingeachcodefor

yourbranduntilyoufindthecorrectcode.



ActivatingRF

ToactivatetheRFTransmitterontheDIRECTVremotecontrol,performthefollowingsteps:



1. Locatethe12DigitReceiverIDnumber(RID)onyourDIRECTVreceiver.THERIDnumberis

locatedonthebackpanelofthereceiver.

2. NotethelastsixdigitsoftheRIDnumber.

3. PressandholdMUTEandENTERatthesametimeuntilthegreenlightflashestwice.

4. Usingthenumberkeysenter961

5. PressandReleaseCHUp.

6. UsingthenumberkeysenterthelastsixdigitsoftheRIDnumber.

7. PressandreleaseSELECTkey(thegreenlightflashestwice).



DeactivatingRF

TodeactivatetheRFTransmitterontheDIRECTVremotecontrol,performthefollowingsteps:



1. PressandholdMUTEandENTERatthesametimeuntilthegreenlightflashestwice.

2. Usingthenumberkeysenter961

3. PressandReleaseCHDown.



RESTORINGFACTORYDEFAULTSETTINGS

Toresetallthefunctionsoftheremotecontroltothefactorydefaultsettingsfollowingthese

steps:



4. PressandholdMUTEandENTERatthesametimeuntilthegreenlightflashestwice.

5. Usingthenumberkeys,enter9‐8‐1.(Thegreenlightflashes4times).


