Force Old Corel 4.0 Bitmap Mode
Use this option ONLY if you are printing grayscale bitmaps directly from CorelDRAW 4. CorelDRAW 4
has a unique way of converting grayscale bitmaps into a halftone pattern, which is not available in any
other version of CorelDRAW. This halftone pattern is based on your Resolution choice in the printer
driver (see the chart below). If you are using CorelDRAW 4 but are not printing any grayscale bitmaps,
then leave this selection OFF. Also, if you are not using CorelDRAW 4 for any reason, always leave this
selection OFF, otherwise you may experience problems vector cutting.

Bitmap Settings
You MUST select one of these options if you are printing ANY grayscale bitmaps from graphics software
OTHER than CorelDraw 4. The Halftone or Dithering pattern created is dependent on the Image Density
setting that you choose in the driver.
Let Program Do Halftoning
This allows the graphics program to create its own halftone pattern instead of using the driver’s
patterns. Check with your software’s help section on whether or not your program has this capability.
If your software cannot create its own halftones, you will need to choose one of the following halftone
patterns that the printer driver creates.
Halftone (fine)
This halftone pattern generator converts grayscale bitmaps into a halftoned image based on your
Resolution choice in the driver.
