Step One: Install the Wireless MAXg PC
Card and drivers
I. Locate an available PC Card slot and fully insert the Wireless
MAXg
PC Card. PC Card slots are typically on the side of laptops.
You should hear a beep when the Wireless MAX
g PC Card is fully
inserted and detected.
II. When Windows detects the new hardware, click Cancel. Insert
the Installation CD-ROM into your CD-ROM drive. The
Installation CD Graphical User Interface (GUI) will appear on
your screen. If prompted, select your preferred language.
Note: If your CD-ROM does not automatically launch, click
Windows Start, Run, type D:\setup (if your CD-ROM drive
uses a different letter, type that letter in place of D), and
click OK.
III. Some files will be copied to your system, and then you will be
asked to read the license agreement. Read the agreement and
click Yes. Select your product and then click Software.
IV. Click Wireless Card Utility and Drivers. Follow the on-screen
instructions.
Note: You will need to install this Installation CD-ROM on all the
PCs you plan to wirelessly network together.
V. If prompted, restart your computer.
Step Two: Setup Wireless Networking
I. When you are prompted, select Connect to an established
wireless router and click Next. You will need to wait while the
PCI Adapter communicates with the router.
II. A list of available networking products will appear on the
Connect to Wireless Networking
screen.
