Glow in the dark – Great Explorations

This large box set includes eight ‘glow in the dark’ planets from our solar system, plus Pluto. Children

will have fun learning to put them in the right order; Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn,

Uranus, Neptune then Pluto. Planet sizes range from 4.5 cm to 12cm. Each box also contains 200

adhesive stars, 7.5 meters of string and a planetary guide.

Instructions

Planets

1. Align the two halves of the planet.

2. Snap the halves securely together.

3. Thread the end of the string through the hang tab of the planet and tie a knot.

4. Cut the string to the desired length (2-2 ½ feet). Tie the other end of the string to a tack and in-

sert the tack into the ceiling.

5. Expose the planets to light for one minute. Turn off the light and watch the planets glow!

Stars

1. Peel a star from the adhesive backer sheet and push firmly onto the wall or ceiling.

2. The adhesive is safe and non-toxic but please do not use it on fresh paint or wallpaper.

Both stars and planets

1. Expose the planets and stars to light for one minute.

2. Turn off the lights and watch them glow.
