e s s e n t i a l i n formation LOOSE FUEL CAP (if so equipped) The LOOSE FUEL CAP indicator displays in the odometer 01 when the fuel-filler cap is not tightened correctly after the vehicle has been refueled. To install the cap properly, push and turn the cap clockwise until ratcheting clicks are heard. Then press the loose fuel cap reset button 02 to turn the indicator light off. 02 01 If the cap is not properly tightened the Malfunction Indicator Light may illuminate.
first d ri v e f e a t u r e s NISSAN INTELLIGENT KEY™ SYSTEM (if so equipped) The NISSAN Intelligent Key™ system allows you to lock or unlock your vehicle, open your trunk or rear hatch and start the engine. To lock or unlock a door, push any door handle request switch 01 once. Push any door handle request switch 01 within 1 minute of unlocking the door and all other doors will unlock. NOTE: It is important to make sure the Intelligent Key is with you (that is, in your pocket or purse).
STARTING THE ENGINE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION (if so equipped) (NISSAN Intelligent Key™ models only) Depress the brake pedal. Push the ignition switch in. Confirm the Intelligent Key system warning light is illuminated green. Turn the ignition switch to start the engine. MANUAL TRANSMISSION (if so equipped) (NISSAN Intelligent Key™ models only) Depress the brake pedal. Move the shift lever to N (Neutral). Depress the clutch pedal to the floor while pushing the ignition switch in.
first d ri v e f e a t u r e s WINDSHIELD WIPER SWITCH Move the lever to the following positions to operate the windshield wipers: 01 Intermittent (INT) – Front wipers operate intermittently. 04 02 Low (LO ) – Front wipers operate at a continuous low-speed. 03 High (HI ) – Front wipers operate at a continuous high-speed. 01 04 Rear Wiper (REAR) (if so equipped) – Twist the end section to operate the first (INT) or second (ON) speed settings for the rear wiper.
02 01 FM/AM/XM®* RADIO WITH CD PLAYER (if so equipped) 01 VOL/ON•OFF CONTROL KNOB Push the VOL/ON•OFF control knob to turn the system on or off. Turn the VOL/ON•OFF control knob to the right or left to increase or decrease the volume. 02 TUNE/SCROLL KNOB To manually tune the radio, turn the TUNE/SCROLL knob left or right. *XM® Satellite Radio is only available on vehicles equipped with optional XM® satellite subscription service.
first d ri v e f e a t u r e s REAR HATCH / TRUNK LID RELEASE Unlock the rear hatch/trunk by pressing the button on the keyfob once and then perform one of the following operations: OPENING THE REAR HATCH (if so equipped) Push the Rear Hatch Request Switch 01 . Push the Release Switch 02 under the rear hatch handle. Pull up and out on the handle to open the rear hatch. OPENING THE TRUNK (if so equipped) Push the Trunk Request Switch 03 . Push the Release Switch 04 under the trunk handle.
s y s t em guide CRUISE CONTROL (if so equipped) The cruise control system enables you to set a constant cruising speed. The system will automatically maintain the set speed until you tap the brake pedal, accelerate, cancel or turn the system off. For more information, refer to the “Starting and driving (section 5)” of your Owner’s Manual.
