Windowspasswords
DependingonyourversionoftheWindowsoperatingsystem,youcanusepasswordsforavarietyof
features,includingcontrollingloginaccess,accesstosharedresources,networkaccess,andindividualuser

Settingthengerprintreader
Ifyourkeyboardhasangerprintreader,youcansetthengerprintreaderintheSetupUtilityprogram.
TheFingerprintSetupsubmenuundertheSecuritymenuoftheSetupUtilityprogramprovidesthe
followingoptions:
•PrebootAuthentication:enablesordisablesthengerprintreaderfunctionforenteringBIOSpassword.
•ErasingFingerprintData:clearsthengerprintdatastoredinangerprintreader.
TosetanitemontheFingerprintSetupsubmenu,dothefollowing:
1.StarttheSetupUtilityprogram.See“StartingtheSetupUtilityprogram”onpage43.
2.FromtheSetupUtilityprogrammainmenu,selectSecurity➙FingerprintSetup,andpressEnter.
TheFingerprintSetupwindowopens.
3.SelectPrebootAuthenticationorErasingFingerprintDateasdesired,andpressEnter.
4.SelectthedesiredsettingsandpressEnter.
5.PressF10tosaveandexittheSetupUtilityprogram.PressEnterwhenpromptedtoconrmtheexit.

30days,youmustrenewthelicensetocontinuereceivingtheantivirussoftwareupdates.
