First aid measures
General Advice
First aid is upon rupture of sealed battery.
Eye contact
Rinse thoroughly with plenty of water, also under the eyelids. If symptoms persist, call a
physician.
Skin contact
Wash with soap and water.
Inhalation
Remove to fresh air. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. If breathing is difficult,
(trained personnel should) give oxygen.
Ingestion
Do NOT induce vomiting. Rinse mouth immediately and drink plenty of water. Never give
anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Call a physician.

Coughing and/ or wheezing. Difficulty in breathing. Lead poisoning is characterized by a
metallic taste in the mouth, loss of appetite indigestion, nausea, vomiting, constipation,
sleep disturbances and overall weakness. Severe exposures can lead to shock, circulatory
collapse, and death.
