TROUBLE SHOOTING
Repairing a sound mixing console requires a specialist, but basic trouble shooting is whitin the scope of any
user if a few badic rules are followed.
Get to know the diagram of your console.
Get to know what each component of the mixer is supposed to do.
Learn where to look for common trouble spots.
The Diagram is a representative sketch of all the components of the console, showing how they connect and
how the signal flows through the system. Once you have become famliar with the various components, you
can understand the internal structure of the console and you can track down problems by elimimation.
Swap input connections to check if the source is really present. Check both Mic and Line inputs.
Eliminate sections of the channel by using the insert point to re-route the signal to other inputs that you
know are working
Route channels to different outputs or to auxiliary to identify problems on the master section.
Compare a non-working channel with an adjacent channel which had been set up identically. Use PFL to
monitor the signal in each section.
CAUTIONS ON INSTALLATlON
Please take care of the following points when installing:
1. lnstall this product at place with good ventilation and keep a distance of over 30 cm from other objects.
2. Avoid using this product in circumstances of excessive heat or cold, and situations where it is subject to
extreme vibration.
3. Clean this product using a soft dry cloth & poly-wax.
