5. If the handset prompts you for a PIN, enter the PIN and press OK.

The default PIN is 0000.

During the registration period, the handset displays

SEARCH BASE. At

the end of the registration period, the handset indicates whether the reg-

istration was successful or not:

 Successful registration—You hear a confirmation tone, and the

icon stops flashing. The handset displays its label, number, and

clock.

Select Your Country

The COUNTRY option selects the correct telephone network settings

and the default language for the country that you select. If your phone

does not have a COUNTRY option, the handset already is configured

for the country in which it was sold. Follow the steps below to deter-

mine whether you have a COUNTRY option and, if so, to set it.

1. Press

MENU.

2. Select

ADVANCED SET and press OK.

3. Press to scroll to the

COUNTRY option and press OK.

4. If there is no COUNTRY option, you are finished installing your

handset.

5. Select the country in which you are using the phone and click

OK.

Congratulations. You have successfully completed the installation
