PART II: SECTION A: EXTERNAL MODEM INSTALLATION WITH WINDOWS 3.X

If your PC's serial connector looks like this

you need a shielded serial cable with a

25-pin female to 25-pin male connector.

If your PC's serial connector looks like this

you need a shielded serial cable with a

9-pin female to 25-pin male connector.

NOTE: Your computer’s rear panel

may not be identical to the diagrams

above. However, you should look for

connectors that match the enlarged

portions of the diagrams. If you cannot

locate the proper connector, refer to your

computer’s manual.
