Cast iron Construction
For use with Wood & Coal
This cast iron grate goes in the bottom of your stove to allow air to ow into the re and ashes
to pass down to the ash pan.
1. Allow the unit to completely cool and unplug the power cord.
2. Open the ash pan door.
3. Remove the shaker grate frame and shaker grate. They are located just above the ash
pan (repeat this step if the unit has more than one shaker grate).
4. Place the shaker grate frame and shaker grate at on a surface that will not be damaged.
Separate the shaker grate from the shaker grate frame by sliding the shaker grate in an
upward angle. This will remove it from the grooves that hold it in place.
5. Slide the new shaker grate into the shaker grate frame by inserting the rod side of the
shaker into place rst. Then lower the other end back into the grooves that hold it in place.
6. Slide the shaker grate back into the furnace through the ash pan door. Make sure the long
narrow end of the grate is facing the front of the unit. Note The shaker grate will not work
properly if it is put in backwards. Push the shaker grate assembly all the way to the back of
the unit. If the unit has two or more shaker grates make sure they are connected.
WARNING:
