U. Seal Seam Tape will adhere to itself. When overlapping
from end to end, be sure to overlap a minimum of 4”.
For exterior applications in cold climates, surface may be
warmed with hot air to improve adhesion, providing it can
be done safely.
Important Notes
Cautions/Limitations_U. Seal Seam Tape is a non-
hazardous material when used in accordance with
manufacturer’s recommendations. The product can be
exposed to UV rays for max. 3 months.
Athough slip-resistant, the product may be slippery under
certain conditions, use caution to ensure safety.
Wearing gloves is recommended during installation.
Improper handling may cause cuts.
Damaged product should be replaced by the installer.
Do not apply over uncured solvents, sealants or silicone
caulking! It is the installers responsability to ensure that all
sealants used are compatible with the asphalt.
Storage_U. Seal Seam Tape retains its quality characteristics
for a long time, however, recommended shelf life is 12
months.
Maintenance_U. Seal Seam Tape when installed in
accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendation will
not require maintenance.

Basic Uses
U.Seal Seam Tape is suitable for sealing sheating material
seams in walls, decks and roofs. The asphalt adhesive self-
seals around staples, nails and screws with no risk of water
leaks. U.Seal Seam Tape has been designed as an anti-slip
underlayment on slope pitched roof surfaces. The product
offers a safe foot traffic resistant surface to applicators.
This is the case of asphalt shingles or mechanical fixed roof
systems, where a rough and gripped surface is required for a
safe and correct application.
Description
U. Seal Seam Tape is a self-stick waterproofing tape
composed of a self sealing rubberized asphalt adhesive
featuring a rough slip-resistant polyester Coex film.
The high adhesive compound is protected, until use, by a
silicone release film.

Installation
Surface Preparation: U. Seal Seam Tape sticks to most
surfaces. Surfaces should be smooth, clean, dry and free
of irregularities, oil and dust. Porous surfaces should be
treated with an asphalt based primer and allowed to dry
before U. Seal Seam Tape application.
U. Seal Seam Tape should not be applied when the surface
temperature and ambient temperature is lower than 41°F.
Application:
Unroll the required length and cut to size;
Remove paper backing in workable length and press U. Seal
Seam Tape into place, making sure to center the tape over
the seam.
Roll to ensure proper adhesion and to minimize any air
pockets.
