SAFE INSTALLATION USE AND SERVICE The proper installation, use and servicing of this well tank is extremely important to your safety and the safety of others. Many safety-related messages and instructions have been provided in this manual and on your own well tank to warn you and others of a potential injury hazard. PERIODIC MAINTENANCE Pressure Relief Valve Operation by protecting the glass-lined tank from corrosion. Adverse water quality and water softening methods can increase the rate of anode rod depletion. Once the anode rod is depleted, the tank will start to corrode, eventually developing a leak. The pressure relief valve must be manually operated at least once a year. Failure to install and maintain a new properly listed pressure relief valve could result in serious personal injury, death or property damage.
