5. To exit and return to standby mode press .
 If you do not press any keys for 15 seconds the phone
automatically returns to stand-by mode.
Κ Note: If the alarm has been turned ON, the alarm icon as shown in the
figure below will be displayed on the LCD.
Κ Note: The default alarm setting is “OFF”.
3.5.1 When the alarm sounds…
1. When the timer expires the alert tone will sound for up to 30 seconds
and the alarm icon will flash on the LCD as shown in the figure below.
2. Press any key to stop the alarm or remove the handset from the base
station cradle.
Κ Note: If the handset is off-hook and the timer expires the alarm will not
sound until 10 to 30 seconds after the handset has been returned to the
cradle in the base station.
Κ Note: If you are changing phone settings and the timer expires the alarm
will sound. Pressing any key or removing the handset from the cradle in the
base station can stop the alarm.
Κ Note: The alerting tone and volume level are set at the factory and cannot
be changed.
