1.1 Structure

The Aladin

Air Z O

system consists of four units:

1 The Oxy2 is fitted “in line“ to the inhalation hose of the

semi closed rebreather (SCR) and measures the actual oxygen

fraction of the inspired gas mixture. This information is transmit-

ted to a paired wireless Aladin

Air Z O

. This is the basis for the

calculation of both oxygen toxicity and decompression, based on

the real values of the inhalation gas.

2 With open circuit breathing systems a pressure transmitter

is used, which is installed at the high pressure outlet of the first

stage regulator. It measures tank pressure and radio-transmits

the results to the dive computer, where they are further analysed

for the calculation of gas mixture consumption and dive data.

3 The dive computer displays only important data. The upper

display shows general dive data and decompression data. The

lower display shows data from either an Oxy2 or pressure trans-

mitter.
