5 Operating the appliance
5.17 Opening the appliance door during washing
The appliance door can be opened when the indicator light for the button is illumin-
ated.
▸ Touch the button.
– The appliance door opens. Laundry can be added or removed.
▸ Close the appliance door.
▸ Touch the button.
– The programme is resumed.
In the event of a power failure, the appliance door can only be opened using the
emergency door release (see page 35). The programme sequence is automatic-
ally resumed following such a power failure.
5.18 End of programme
Unloading the washing before time
Shortly before the end of the programme, the washing is loosened up. This takes about
1–2 minutes.
If steam anti-crease has been selected, the loosening-up period is extended to
about 60 minutes to further prevent creasing.
▸ Touch the button to unload the washing during the loosening-up phase.
Door opener
The user settings that are enabled determine whether the appliance door opens automat-
ically when the programme ends (see page 29) and whether information on energy and
water consumption is displayed or not (see page 30).
▪ «Automatic door opener On»:
Once a programme has finished,
– the appliance door opens automatically.
– the washing can be unloaded.
▪ «Automatic door opener Off»:
Once a programme has finished,
– «End of programme» is displayed in the TouchDisplay for about 20
minutes.
– information on the energy and water consumption (see page 26) is dis-
played in the TouchDisplay, provided «EcoManagement» has been
turned on (see page 30).
▸ Touch the button to open the appliance door and unload the washing at any
time.
