Detergent dosage
The amount of detergent required depends on the degree of soiling as well as the
wash load, the hardness of the water and the product being used. Dose the detergent
accordingly, following the detergent manufacturer’s instructions.
The hardness of the water is measured using the French degree of water hardness
(°fH). Water hardness is divided into three categories:
The local water authorities can provide information on the level of water hardness in
your area.
Compartment
Adding too much detergent could cause excess foaming, giv
ing a poor wash result and, in the worst case, causing dam
age to the appliance.
䡲 Soft 0 °fH to 15 °fH
䡲 Medium 15 °fH to 25 °fH
䡲 Hard over 25 °fH (NB Use water softener to reduce amount of washing detergent required.)
