Opening the appliance door in the event of a power
failure
A Turn off the water tap.
A Switch off appliance at wall switch or pull
plug out of mains socket.
A Open cover for foreign body trap 1.
A If necessary, execute emergency draining.
A Remove emergency door release tool 2
from fastening.
A Insert emergency door release tool into
opening 3.
A Turn emergency door release tool to the
right in direction of arrow.
A Appliance door springs open.
Possible cause Solution
䡲 Siphon cap in fabric condi-
tioner compartment is not on
properly or is blocked.
A Clean siphon cap and put back in place.
Before unloading the appliance, ensure that the washing
drum is stationary. Do not touch the drum while it is still in
motion – risk of serious injury!
If the emergency door release tool is missing, a screw driver can be used
instead.
