3 Operating the appliance
3.4 Detergent dosage
Adding too much washing detergent can cause excess foaming, The con-
sequences: poor wash results, damage to the appliance in the worst case.
The correct dosage depends on the degree of soiling, the wash load, the water hardness and
the product used. Follow the manufacturer’s dosing instructions.
Water hardness
Soft
0°fH to 15°fH The local water authorities can provide
information on the level of water hard-
ness in your area.
Medium
15°fH to 25°fH
Hard
over 25°fH
After adding the washing detergent
▸ Push the detergent dispenser drawer back in.
▸ Select a programme.
3.5 Dyeing textiles
Textiles can be dyed in the appliance using suitable dyeing agents. Follow the manufacturer’s
safety instructions and warnings.
Note:
Each wash programme starts with brief draining. Add liquid dye components after this.
3.6 Selecting programme

▸ Press the button for the desired programme once or more.
The programme selected, the expected duration and the expected pro-
gramme end time are displayed.
The indicator lights for selectable additional functions flash.
