6.4 Cleaning the foreign body trap

Note

: Clean the foreign body trap at regular intervals as well as after washing, for instance,

pet blankets or other wash items that cause a thick build-up of fluff.

▸ Drain off any residual water (see page 28).

▸ Remove any foreign objects (buttons, coins, etc.) from around the im-

peller

▸ Using the emergency door release tool

, check that the drain pump

impeller can turn.

Note

: The impeller

may turn stiffly. This is construction related and

does not indicate the presence of any foreign object or defect. If the

impeller does not turn, please contact our Customer Services.

▸ Push the foreign body trap in as far as it will go and then turn clock-

wise as far as it will go.

▸ Put the drain tray back and close it to.
