6.2.5 Config.: VR71
The installation assistant has configured the inputs and out-
puts of the VR 71.
Configuring the inputs and outputs of the VR 71 ( Page 15)
6.2.6 Zone activated
The installation assistant has activated the relevant zones
and deactivated the zones that are not required.
Deactivating the zone ( Page 19)
6.2.7 Type of circuit
The installation assistant specifies which function (inactive
or heating) the heating circuits are given. If you require a
different setting for one of the heating circuits, you will need
to change the function of this heating circuit later. You must
check whether the automatic zone assignments are correct.
Setting Type of circuit ( Page 16)
6.2.8 Checking the system
If the VR 70 or VR 71 wiring centre is installed, a list in which
you can check the values you have entered will appear at
the end of the configuration process.
It also lists all the sensors and actuators that must be
present in the system or can be installed as options. You can
use this list to check whether all the sensors and actuators
are installed.
There can be different entries behind the sensors.
OK: The control has detected a sensor.
??: The control is expecting a sensor that has not been
installed.
--: The sensor is not installed.
(Blank): The control is unable to check whether the
sensor is installed correctly.
On: The input on the terminals for the external heat de-
mand is open.
Off: The input on the terminals for the external heat de-
mand has short-circuited.
6.2.9 Completing the installation assistant
Once you have gone through the installation assistant,
Inst.assist. finished. Continue with: appears on the
display
System configuration: The installation assistant switches to
the system configuration for the installer level, in which you
can further optimise the system.
System start: The installation assistant switches to the basic
display and the system works with the values you have set.
Sensor/actuator test: The installation assistant switches to
the sensor/actuator test function. You can test the sensors
and actuators here; "Selecting the wiring centre for the
sensor/actuator test ( Page 24)".
6.3 Changing the settings later
All settings that you have made via the installation assistant
can be changed again at a later date via the operator or in-
staller operating level.

7 Handing over to the operator
Inform the operator of how to handle and operate their
product.
Provide the operator with all relevant instructions and unit
documentation for safe-keeping.
Tell the operator the article number of the product.
Go through the operating instructions with the operator .
Answer any questions the operator may have.
In particular, draw the operator's attention to the safety
information that they must follow.
Ensure that the operator is familiar with all of the Anti-le-
gionella measures in order to comply with the applicable
regulations regarding legionella prevention.
Inform the end user that they must have maintenance
carried out on the product at the specified intervals.
Advise the end user that the control may not work as well
as it should do if it is removed from its intended installa-
tion site.
Inform the end user that the reception strength between
the radio receiver unit and the control or outdoor temper-
ature sensor is not affected by electrical devices or build-
ing components.
8 Operating and display functions
Note
The functions described in this section are not
available for all system configurations.
The controller has a level for the operator and a level for the
competent person.
The setting and read-out options for the operator, the oper-
ating concept and an operating example are described in the
operating instructions for the controller.
The setting and read-out options for the competent person
can be found via the selection button Menu Installer level
Enter code.
If you do not know the code, you can clear the code using
the factory setting ( Page 12) function. All the set values
will be lost if you do this.

The path details given at the start of each function descrip-
tion indicate how you reach this function in the menu struc-
ture. The square brackets contain the level of detail to which
the function belongs.
