Table 37 on page 195 lists some common problems of Anemometers
and their remedies.

Problem Probable Cause Remedy
No service connection Transmitter is not powered. Ensure proper supply voltage for the
transmitter.
Improper cable Check the cable.
Transmitter is broken Check that the green LED is blinking
after supplying the transmitter. If not,
return the transmitter to
manufacturer for service.
No blinking green LED Transmitter is not powered or the
transmitter is broken.
As above
Green LED blinking
slowly at 50% duty cycle
Transmitter is not powered properly Ensure proper supply voltage for the
transmitter.
Internal system error Return unit to manufacturer for
service.
Red LED on Transmitter is not powered properly Ensure proper supply voltage for the
transmitter.
Optional communication
interface is not working
Improper or loose wiring Check wiring and tighten screw
terminals.
Module missing Plug in the module.
Wrong module Ensure that correct module option is
used.
Module broken Replace broken module with a new
one.
Transmitter is broken As above
Shaft heating is not
working
Improper or loose wiring Check wiring and tighten screw
terminals.
Heating is not activated Open terminal connection to WT521
and give command SETHEA 1.
