Installation

Install Decorative Glass Set
Material required
• Middle platform brackets (supplied with appliance
or the kit)*
• Small container to distribute glass beads (not included)
• Decorative Glass Set, which contains:
◊ 3 bags of crushed glass
◊ 1 metal tray for glass
* Note: Middle platform brackets may be already
supplied with the appliance; one set (2) is needed so
discard or recycle the extra set.
IMPORTANT: Approved for use only with the fi reglass
provided with your Valor fi replace or the fi reglass
brands American Fireglass™ or fi regear. The use of
any other fi reglass products may void your fi replace
warranty.
Installation
Carefully unpack the kit.
1. Install both middle platform brackets on front and
rear of the burner, with the tabs upwards fi tting the
end platform supports’ protruding dimples into the
slots of the brackets as indicated.
2. Install the metal tray on top of the brackets as
indicated. The tray, when installed properly, is fl ush
with the front edge of the fi rebox opening. As well,
the small round hole in the tray should be at the rear
left when facing the fi rebox.

3. Carefully spread the fi reglass in the tray and on the
burner. Do not overfi ll the burner to avoid blocking
the burner ports. Ideally, one layer of fi rebeads on
the burner is suffi cient.
NOTE: Ensure the area around the pilot shield is
not piled too high with fi rebeads and also ensure the
area within the pilot shield is clear of fi rebead.
