About This Variety: Lilium Big Brother lives up to its name. This oriental trumpet lily produces fragrant, yellow
flowers on sturdy stems to support the weight of the oversized flowers. It’s known for its huge 6’ tall tree like stems
and great big giant 14-15” fragrant flowers. By the third year they will normally attain their maximum height and
flower size. Great choice for the cut garden or for creating that curb appeal to wow the neighbors. Good naturalizer
returning for years to come. Very easy to grow. Several stems grow from a single bulb.
Growing Instructions: Plant in well-drained soil where they will receive 6-8 hours of sun a day.
They are winter hardy and considered a strong perennial that can be left in the ground and will re-bloom year after
year if the conditions are right. Lilies perform best when mulched.
Care Tip: Lilies prefer cool soil, which argues for shade at their feet from low growing companions. When cutting
the flowers for bouquets, remove no more than 1/3 of the stem so sufficient leaves remain to renew the bulb for the
coming year.
Exposure: Full sun to partial shade
Height: Grows 60” tall
Spacing: Plant 12-16” apart, 6-8” deep
Hardy in: USDA zones 3-8
