About This Variety: Young green shallots have a tasty flavor when fresh from the garden to the grill or salad bowl. More mature bulbs are used in cooking and stored for later usage. Growing Instructions: Plant the bulbs so that the pointy ends are up and just covered by soil. Mulching reduces soil heaving and protects the plants. To harvest, allow them to mature thoroughly letting the leaves wither away. At that point dig them up, allow them to dry and store by hanging in a netted bag.
