Trumpet vine (Campsis Radicans), also known as trumpet Creeper or hummingbird vine, is a fast and
high climbing perennial vine that is very easy to grow. Its deciduous woody vine is known for showy,
trumpet-shaped flowers (3 1/2 inches long) that attracts much wildlife to the garden. Birds sometimes
nest in the dense foliage. It inhabits woodlands and riverbanks and is also a popular garden subject. It
tolerates deer, drought and clay soils. The foliage grows well in the
shade, but the plants need good sun for best flowering. Good
in woodland gardens and naturalized areas. Provides
quick cover for fences, arbors, trellises, walls or other
structures in the landscape or can be grown along the
ground to camouflage rock piles, old tree stumps,
or other unsightly areas.
