SURFACE PREPARATION
Previously Finished Surfaces
To ensure proper a

surfaces must be clean, dry, and free of wax, grease,

il

shellac, lacquer, mildew, and polishes. Remove wax with a
wax stripper, shellac with a paint stripper, and mildew with a
solution of 10% household bleach and water. Old finishes
i

poor condition should be removed. Sand using 150-220 g
r
i
t
sandpaper to obtain a smooth surface. Remove all sanding
du
s
t
using a vacuum, tack cloth, or cloth dampened with
mineral
s
p
i
r
i
t
s
.
Unfinished Surfaces
