Instruction for Footer Layout:
1. Drive ½” rebar stake (stake 1) at desired location.
2. Place Footer Square on to stake.
3. Attach line-string to outside groove of Footer Square ensuring proper length of line-string for
footer layout.
4. Pull line-string to desired distance. Keeping line-string lined up with Footer Square groove. When
line-string is lined up with the groove, drive stake 2.
5. Repeat step 4 for stake 3.
6. Measure proper distance from stake 2 and 3; drive stake 4.
7. In order to ensure footer is square measure diagonally as close to the ground as possible from
stake 1 to stake 4 then measure from stake 2 to stake 3. Measurement should be equal.
Instruction for Footer Angle Layout:
1. After layout of basic footer attach line string to the stakes.
2. Attach line-string to the 45 degrees side of Footer Square ensuring proper length of line-string for
the angle layout.
3. Place pivot corner of the Footer Square on top of the line-string at the proper location. Turn
Footer Square to the desired angle on the same string that the pivot corner is placed.
4. Pull line-string that is attached to Footer Square to the proper distance, keeping line-string lined
up with the groove on the footer square. Then drive stake.
