Mount saf ety seat in direction of tra vel only
and lock both latch plates on sec uring
console audibly into belt buckle s on adapter.
Tug on the seat to c hec k that the belt has

Fastening the child's seat belt
Place child in sa fety sea t.
Insert latch plate of vehicle seat belt in buckle.
The la p belt of the vehicle seat be lt must pass
th roug h the t wo guides on th e sea t cush ion .
Adjust the upper an chorage point of the
vehicle seat belt so that the belt runs along
the shortest route to the he ight adjuster on
the child safety seat. Height adjustment, see
page 82.
Open flap on outer heigh t adjuster on safety
seat, insert be lt an d close flap.
Withdraw pin and adjust belt position by
moving slide upwards or downwards. Allow
pin to lock into position.
Removing the safety seat
Depress red pushbutton for each buckle on
ada pter. Detach safety seat from adapter –
see page 105, Fig. 10397 T.
Before removin g the adapter, disengage the
belt buckles from underneath.
The seat be lt must pass over the child's
shoulder, never over the n eck or upper
arm.
