Driving can be continued. If the fault occurs
while driving, the vehicle will only run in fifth
gear. When the engine is restarted fourth and
fifth gear are a vaila ble:
2 = 4th ge ar
3 = 4th ge ar
4 =4th gear
D = 5th gear
N = Ne ut ra l po s i tio n
R = Reverse gear
P = Park position
To h ave the fault rectifie d, consult a Va uxhall
Dealership. The system's integral self-
diagnosis facility allows faults to be quickly
remedied.
Interruptio n of pow er supply
If the vehicle battery is flat, the selector lever
cannot be moved out of position P.
If the ba ttery is flat, start the vehicle using
jump leads – see page 174.
If the battery is not the cause of the fault,
re le ase selector lever:
1. Apply ha nd bra ke.
2. Disengage c over from ce ntre console ,
rotate clockwise th roug h 90° an d fold u p.
3. Push catch forward with a screwdrive r and
move selector lever out of P.
4. Mount cover back on the c entre console
and ref it.
Engaging P aga in causes the leve r to be
locked aga in . Ha ve the c ause of power supply
interruption eliminated by a Vauxhall
Dealership.
