Refuelling
Fuel filler n eck at right rear side of vehicle.
Open tank flap. Turn filler cap anti-c lockwise,
remove an d ho ok on to ta nk flap.
The fuel tank has a limiting system which
prevents overfilling of the tank.
Correct fillin g depends to a la rge exte nt on
proper ope ration of the fuel dispe nsing pump:
1. Insert dispensing pump as far as it will go
and switch on.
2. Up to two additional litre s can be gradually
ad ded af te r t he au to matic shut-off .
To close the fille r cap, ref it it and turn it
clockwise against resistance until the filler
cap ratchet audibly clicks. Close the tank flap.
Wipe off any overflowing fuel imme diately.
Ope ning the tan k f lap in th e eve nt of mal-
function of the central locking system
Unlock and open the boot lid/tailgate; see
page 56. Open the cover on the right-hand
side of the luggage compa rtment. The rele ase
rod f or t he ta nk f lap is loca te d be hind t he
servo motor (arrow in figure). Push the rod
bac k with you r h and and the tank f lap can be
opened. Have the cause of the fault remedied
by a Vauxhall Dealership.
Care must be taken when handling fuel.
Before refuellin g, switch off engine and any
external heaters with combustion
chambers before refuelling. Switch mobile
ph on es o ff .
Petrol is flammable and explosive.
Therefore avoid handling f uel near naked
flames and doing anything that would
gen erat e spar ks. No smok in g! Th is also
applies wh ere the smell of petrol is
noticea ble . If the smell of petrol vapour
occurs in the vehicle itself, have the cause
immediately found and remedied by a
Vauxhall Dealership.
