Brakes
Brake system
The brakes are an important factor for traff ic
safety.
In the interest of effect iveness, do not brake
unn ec essarily hard during th e first 12 0 miles
(200 km) after new disc brake pads have been
fitted.
Wear of the brake pads must not exceed a
certain limit. Regular ma intenance as detaile d
in the Service B ooklet is therefore of the
utmost importan ce f or traffic safety.

If it lights up when the engine is running: front

Have worn brake pads repla ced by a Vauxha ll
Dealership, thereby ensu ring that Va uxh all
approved parts, which guarantee optimum
brake performance, will be installed.
In vehic les with ch eck control 3, the warning
"Brake Pad" appears in the display in the
event of a fault; see page 41.
