Diesel fuel filter on vehicle s with
engine Y 22 DTH
1)
Check fuel filter for possible water residue at
every e ngine oil change.
Plac e a conta iner underneath the f ilter
ho usin g. L o osen screw o n fi lte r c ove r u sin g a
commercially available Torx T 30 screwdriver.
Turn knurled screw on lower part of filter by
approx. one turn and drain off water.
Th e f ilt er is drain ed a s soon a s diesel emer ge s
from the knurled screw at the bottom.
Retighten the two screws.
Never allow the fuel f ilter to run dry!
If the tan k runs dry, a c omplic ated procedure
is necessary to bleed the fuel system. Consult
a Vau xha ll Dea lership see pa ge 17 4.
General information
Check filte r a t shorter intervals in the case of
extre me operating conditions such as high
humidity (primarily in coastal areas),
extre me ly high or low outside temperatures
and substantially varying daytime and night-
time temperatures.
Coolant
During operation the system is pressurized.
The temperature may therefore rise brie fly to
over 10 0 °C.
The glycol-based coolant provides excellent
corrosion protection for the heating and
cooling systems as well as anti-freeze
protection down to approx.28 °C. It remains
in the cooling system throughout the year and
need not be c hange d in vehic les with petrol
engin e or die sel engine Y 2 2 DTH

On vehic les with diesel en gine Y 25 DT

chan ge the c oola nt at t he intervals spe cified
in the Service Booklet.
Only use radiator antifreeze that has been
approved by Vauxhall.

Anti-freeze is a dan ger to he alth; it must
therefore be kept in the original c on tainer
and out of the reach of children.
Have the coolant changed by a Vauxhall
Dealership, who will be familiar with the
requirements of the law as regards
disposal of coolant and c an thus help to
protec t the environment and your health.
