Brake fluid
Brake fluid level
The fluid level in the reservoir must be neither
higher than the MAX mark nor lower than the
MIN mark.
Only top up with high performance brake fluid
approved by Vauxhall. Ext reme cleanliness is
important, since bra ke fluid contamination
can cause brake system malfunctions.
After correct ing the brak e fluid level, h ave the
cause of the loss remedied by a Vauxh all
De alership.
Brake fluid change
Brake f luid is hygroscopic, i.e . absorbs wa ter.
If the brakes become warm, e .g. wh en driving
down a long incline, vapour bubbles could
form and impair braking power.
The f luid c hange intervals specif ie d in the
Service Booklet must therefore be observed.
Windscree n w ipers
Clear vision is essential for safe driving.
You should therefore ch ec k th e windsc reen
wipers and headlamp wash system 3
regularly to make sure they are operating
correctly.
If window s are dirty, operate the w indscreen
wash system before switching on the
windscreen wipers or automatic wiper system
with rain sensor 3 in order to prevent wiper
blade wear.
Do not switch on the windscreen wipers or set
them to automa tic operation with the rain
sensor 3 if the windscreen is iced up a s this
could damage the wiper blades or the wiper
system.
Caution – brak e f luid is poisonous and
corrosive. Do not allow it to conta ct eyes,
skin, fabrics or painted surfaces. Direct
contact may ca use injurie s an d da mage .
