Bonne t
To open the bonnet, pull re le ase le ver /,
loc ate d on the driver's outboard side below
the instrument panel. The bonnet will then be
un l oc ked an d wi ll p ar t ia ll y o p en. Re tu rn
release lever to its original position.
There is a safe ty catch on th e unde rside of t he
bonnet about a ha ndbre adth to th e right o f the
radiator grille centre as viewed from the front:
lift this upwards and open the bonnet.
The bonnet is he ld open automa tica lly. To
close the bonnet, lower it slowly an d allow it
to fall into the lock under its own weight.
Check that the bonnet is locked in position by
pulling at its front edge. If it is not engaged,
repeat the procedure.
When t he bonnet is open ed, snow or dirt on
the bonnet ca n slide down an d obstruct the
air intake. Air intake, see pa ge 133.
