Be hind a shtra y cover below tray or ra dio 3.
Press ashtray cover to open.
Pre ss cigarette lighter with ignition switched
on. Switches off automatically and ejects
when elemen t is glow ing. Withdraw ciga rette
li g ht er .
Accessory socket
The socket in the cen tre c onsole, i.e. the
cigarette lighter socket, c an be used to
connec t electrical a cce ssories wh en the
ignition is on. There is an a dditional acc essory
socket 3 in the ce ntre c onsole below the rear
air vents. If the engine is off , the battery will be
discharged.
The accessory socket 3 in the cen tre console
under the rear air vents shuts off automatica lly
after approx. 15 minutes to prevent the
battery from becoming discharged.
Do not dama ge the socket s by using
unsuitable plugs.
The maximum power consumption of
ele ctrical a cce ssories must n ot exceed 120
watts.
Do not c onnec t any current-delive ring
ac cessories, e. g. electric al charging device s
or batteries.
Electric al ac cessories conne ct ed to the
socket must c omply with the electromagnetic
compatibility requirements laid down in
DIN VDE 40 83 9, otherwise ve hicle
malfunctions may occur.
Depending on the vehicle equipment level,
the socket may be covered over.
