Seat belts
In the event of an acc iden t, persons not
wearing sea t belts enda nger their fellow
occupants and themselves.

pa ge 26 .
Seat belts are designed to be used by on ly
one person at a time. They are only suitable
for children aged up to 12 or smaller than
150 cm if used in conju nction with a c hild
seat.
For childre n up to 1 2 yea rs of age we
recommend the Vauxhall child restraint
system – see page 94.
Thre e-point seat belts
The vehicle is e quipped with three-point seat
belt s with automa tic retractors a nd locking
devices, allowing freedom of body movement
although the spring tensioned belts always
ensure a snug fit.
The belt has a "vehicle sensitive retractor"
whic h is desig ne d to loc k dur ing he avy
ac celeration or dec eleration in an y direc tion.
Alw ays wear your seat belt, and tha t me ans
also in urba n traffic and when you are a rear
seat passenger. It can save your life!
