Using the belts
Fitting the belt
Pull the belt out of the retractor and guide it
ac ross the body, making certain that it is not
twisted.
In sert the latch plate into the buckle. The seat
backrest must not be tilted back too f ar or the
seat belt will not operate properly. The
recommended angle of inclination is 25°.
Make sure that the lap belt is not twisted and
that it f its snugly across the body. Te nsion the
belt frequently while driving by tugging the
diagonal part of the belt.
Bulky clothing prevents t he belt from fitting
properly. The belt must not rest against hard
or fragile objec ts in the pockets of your
clothing (e .g. ballpoint pe ns, keys,
spe cta cles) be cause the se c ould cau se in ju ry.
Do not place a ny objects (e.g. handbags)
between the belt and your body.
Height adjustment
of seat be lt u pper a nchorage point:
1. Pull belt out slightly.
2. Front seat belts: Press button down or slide
be lt g uid e u p.
Rear seat belts: Press belt guide and slide
it upwards or downwards.
3 . Set desire d heig ht .
4. Allow anchorage to lock audibly into
po si tio n.
Do not adjust height while driving.
The la p be lt must be positioned as low as
possible across the pelvis so as not to put
too much pressure on the abdomen. This is
particularly important for pregnant women.
