To remove belt, depress red pushbutton on
belt buckle. The belt will retract automatically
and will position itse lf ready to han d on the
backrest.
To en large lu ggage c ompartment, depress
small pushbutton on left-hand buckle using a
ballpoint pen or similar object. The belt will
retract fully. Fold down backrests onto seat
cushion.
Estate
Draw be lt out of retrac tor and guide a cross
shoulder and pelvis, making certain that it is
not twisted, and insert latch plate in belt
bu ckle.

locke d into position; see page 68.
Lap belt
In ce ntre of re ar sea t: to adjust the length,
press the top of the latch pla te.
Inspe ction of belts
Periodically inspect all parts of the belt
system for damage and to make sure they are
functioning properly. Have damaged parts
replace d. After an ac cide nt, overstretche d
belts and actuated belt tensioners must be
replace d with new on es by a Vauxhall
Dealership.
Do not perform any alterations on the belts,
their anch orages, the automatic re tractors or
the belt buckles.
