Control indicators y for Vauxhall child
restraint s ystems with tr ansponders 3
The presence of a Vauxhall ch ild restraint
system with transponders 3 is indicated after
the ignition has be en switched on by
per mane nt illu min ation of the cont rol i ndicat or
y in the courtesy lamp, as soon as the seat
occupancy recognition system has detected
the child restraint system.
If the control indica tor does not come on
whilst driving, the airbag systems at the
passenger side have not been not
deac tivated a nd there is a risk of fa tal injury to
the child. Fit the child restraint system to the
rear sea t. Contact a Vaux hall Dealership t o
have the cause of the fa ult reme died.
If the child restraint system is not fitted
correctly or t he transponde rs a re fa ulty, the
control in dica tor f la shes. Check that the child
restraint system is fitted correctly. Fitting the
child restraint system with transponders 3
see pages 94 to 95.
If the control indic ator flashes when the ch ild
restraint system has been fitted correctly,
there is a fault in the system. The child is at
risk. Fit the child restraint system on the rear
seat. To have the f ault rect ified, consult a
Vauxh all Dealership.
If no Vauxhall child restraint system with
transponders 3 is fitted, the control indicat or
should not light up or flash as this means that
the airbag systems for the passenger would
no t be triggered. To have th e f ault rect ified,
consult a Va uxhall Dealership.
If the Vauxhall child restraint system with
transponders 3 has been fitted correctly,
the control indicator for Vauxhall restraint
systems with transponders must light up in
the courtesy lamp once the ignition has
been turned on.
If the control indicator is not illuminated
during driving, the airbag systems for the
front passenge r's seat are not de activa ted;
danger to life. If this is the case, fit the child
restraint system on the rear seat. To have
the f ault re ctifie d, consu lt a Vaux hall
De alership.
