z Acce ssories not released for your vehicle
type and other objects must not be affixed
or placed in the a re a in w hich the a irbags
inflate, as they c ould ca use injury wh en t he
airbags are triggered.
z Do not pla ce a ny objects be twe en the
airbag systems and the vehicle occupants;
danger of injury.
z The electronics controlling the airbag
systems and the belt tensioners are located
in the c entre console. To pre vent
malfunctions, do not place any magn etic
objects in the imme diate vicinity of this
console .
z Do not stick anything on the steering wheel,
instrument panel and front seat backrests
in the vicinity of the airba gs a nd seat area s
or cover them with other materials.
z Use on ly a dr y clo th or in ter ior c le ane r to
clean the steering wheel, instrument panel,
front se at ba ckrests and seat area of the
front passe nger seat. Do not use any
aggressive cleaning agents.
z Only protective covers which are approved
for your Omega w ith side a irbag 3 may be
fitted on the front seats. When fitting the
protective covers, make sure that the
airbag units on the outboard sides of the
front se at ba ckrests are not covered.
z The airbag systems are triggered
independently of each other depending on
the severity of the accident and the type of
impact.
z Eac h airbag can be triggered only on ce.
On ce triggered, an airba g must be re plac ed
withou t dela y by a Vauxhall Dealership.
z The speeds, dire ctions of movement and
def ormation properties of the vehic les, and
the prope rties of the obstacle c oncerned,
determin e the severity of the ac cide nt and
triggering of the airba gs. The degree of
damage to your vehicle and the resulting
repair costs alone are not indic ative that the
criteria for triggering of the a irbags were
met.
z Do not modify airbag system components,
sinc e t his wo uld render t he vehic le
unroadworthy.
z The stee ring whe el, instrument pane l, front
door trim panels and front seats should be
removed by a Vauxhall Dealership.
z The Vauxhall safety directives must always
be observed when disposing of the vehicle.
For this reason, disposal should be
performed by a Vauxhall Dealership.
z Persons weig hing u nder 35 kg sho uld on ly
travel on the rea r seat s. This do es n ot apply
to children who are travelling in child
restraint systems with transponders 3.
z In vehicles with seat occupa ncy
re co gn it ion 3, do not plac e an y heavy
objects on the front passenger's seat
otherwise the airbag systems for the front
passenger's seat may be triggered in the
event of an accident.
z In vehicles with seat occupa ncy
re co gn it ion 3, to preve nt malfunct ions do
not use protective covers or se at cush ions
on the f ront passe nger's sea t.
z When using a Vauxhall child restraint
system with transponders 3 on the front
passenger's se at, in order to prevent
malfunctions, no object s (e.g. plastic sheet,
stickers or h eated mats) may be plac ed
under the child restraint system.
If handled improperly the airbag systems
can be triggered in an explosive manner -
risk of injury!
Child restraint systems as well as other
heavy objects must definitely not be
transported on the lap of passengers;
danger to life. If transported in this way,
child restraint systems with transponders 3
in vehicles with seat occupancy
re co gn it ion 3 could lead to front passenger
airbag systems not being triggered in the
event of an accident.
