Weights, payload and roof load
The p ayload is the diffe rence betwe en the
permissible Gross Vehicle Weight (see
vehic le identification plate on page 208)
and the EC kerbweight.
To calculate the EC kerbweight, enter the
data from your vehicle below:
is the EC kerbweight.
Optional equipment and accessories
increase the kerbweight and in some cases
also the permissible Gross Vehicle Weight,
which means that the payload will also
change slightly.
Note the weights given on the vehicle
identification plate.
The combined total of front and rear axle
loa ds mu st not e xce ed the perm iss ible
Gross Vehicle Weight. For exam ple, if the
front axle load is being fully utilized, the
rear axle c an only bear a load that is equal
to the Gross Vehicle Weight m inus the front
axle load.

Roof load
The maximum permissible roof load
is 100 kg.
The roof load is the c om bined weight of the
roof rack and the load.
