Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Forward Collision Alert
(FCA). ACC is an advanced, proactive version of conventional
cruise control for preventing bumper-to-tail collisions at speeds
between 25 and 180 km/h. It uses a powerful radar sensor to au-
tomatically maintain a safe gap (chosen by you) to the vehicle
in front. ACC also incorporates Forward Collision Alert. If you ap-
proach slower-moving vehicles too fast at speeds above walking
speed, FCA automatically triggers visual and audible warnings.
FCA includes Collision Imminent Braking technology that auto-
matically applies the brakes gently – and makes them more sen-
sitive in case you have to brake hard yourself.

Forward thinking is all about not looking back. The Insignia’s optional assistive technologies put you in control and your mind at
ease. Adaptive Cruise Control with Speed Limiter (ACC) helps maintain a set distance to the car ahead – and can even stop, prompt
and pull away for you in bumper-to-tail traffic

. In addition to the widely praised Opel Eye and AFL+, the Insignia breaks new ground
with three advanced radar-based systems: Lane Change Alert, Side Blind Zone Alert and Rear Cross Traffic Alert.
Assistive Systems
Lane Change Alert (LCA). LCA uses a powerful radar to monitor
parallel lanes to a distance of approx. 70 metres behind your
car. If you indicate to change lanes, a symbol blinks in the side
mirror to warn of any fast-approaching vehicles you may not
have seen.
Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA). As you reverse, RCTA uses ra-
dars to detect objects approaching from the back and side of
your car, up to 20 metres away at a 90° angle. The speakers emit
a tone on the relevant side and an icon appears on the same
side of the Rear View Camera display.
