Getting started PLEASE READ ‘LET’S TALK SAFETY’ AT THE BEGINNING BEFORE USE Before you begin cleaning • IMPORTANT: Carpets should be dry vacuumed thoroughly before washing • Test for colourfastness – Wet a white absorbent cloth with the solution. In a small hidden area of your carpet/rugs/ upholstery gently rub with the dampened cloth. Wait ten minutes and check for colour removal or bleed with white paper towel or cloth. If your carpet has more than one colour, check all colours.
Using your machine Operating your carpet washer Your dirty water tank is fitted with a float. When the dirty water tank is full or the floorhead is not in contact with the carpet the float will shut off the suction at the floor nozzle. You will be able to hear if this has happened as the motor noise on the unit will increase. Once the float is activated, empty the dirty water tank if full. If the dirty water tank is not full then turn off your machine at the power switch and wait for the float to settle.
Using your machine Operating your pre-treatment wand 40 C Max Mix solution with warm water (40°C Max). Fill the clean water tank with solution mix. Tighten cap before returning tank to unit. Turn the machine on. Plug the pre-treatment wand into the solution port. Spray evenly onto desired areas. Unwrap power cord and plug unit in. NOTE: Pre-treating your carpet before washing will help to remove stubborn stains. Leave pre-treatment solution to work for 10-15 minutes.
Using your machine Using the wash tool Remove the reach hose from the accessory bag. Plug the reach hose into the front of the cleaner. Press trigger to release solution. Release the solution trigger and pull wash tool backwards over treated area to pick up spills. Plug the solution tube, from the reach hose, into the solution port. Turn the machine on. NOTE: The clean water tank will need to be filled with solution and water before use.
Taking care of your machine Emptying and cleaning the dirty water tank NOTE: Rinse out tank with clean water and leave to air dry before storing your machine. Remove dirty water tank. Lift dirty water tank clips up and outward to release. Remove dirty water tank lid. Empty dirty water over the sink. Rinse dirty water tank and lid under water to remove debris. Allow tank to dry, and to re-fit, tilt dirty water tank and line up to carpet washer. Push back until it clicks into place.
Let’s talk technical Removing blockages from the brushbar To reduce the risk of electric shock, turn the machine off and unplug from electrical socket before performing maintenance/ troubleshooting checks. Threads caught in the brushbar can be cut out with scissors. CAUTION Replacing the belt or brushbars CAUTION: Do not open the motor cover. Turn machine on its side and use a crosshead screwdriver to remove the eight screws. To replace belt, slip the brushbars through the belt.

What to do if it goes wrong Problem Solution • The plug may not be fully pushed into the electrical socket. Why won’t the carpet washer turn on? • Check if the fuse in the plug needs replacing. Always replace with a 13amp fuse. • Make sure the clean water tank is fitted securely. • The clean water tank valve may be stuck. Go to ‘Operating your carpet washer’. Why won’t the solution/ clean water dispense? • The float in the dirty water tank may have been activated.
