Diagnostics and Utilities
After the system passes self-test, you must verify proper system operation.
First verify the presence of SCSI devices, then verify the boot device load
path. After the path is verified, you can boot the operating system and use
operating system-based test programs (such as UETP) to complete system
verification.
All functions previously provided by off-line loadable diagnostics and utili-
ties are now provided by the console (ROM-based) or not supported at all.
The Loadable Firmware Update (LFU) Utility is currently the only sup-
ported off-line loadable program. It is used to update firmware on any
module residing on the LSB or XMI bus.
