3. OPERATION
3.1 120 VOLT AC RECHARGING
IMPORTANT: The unit MUST be OFF when the unit is charging or not in use.
To recharge the battery using the 120 volt AC adapter (12), follow these
procedures:
1. Push the compressor power switch and lantern/spotlight power switch to
the "OFF" position.
2. Insert the 120 volt AC recharging adapter into the AC recharge adapter
barrel connector outlet (8) located next to the battery status LED indicators.
BATTERY MUST BE CHARGED BEFORE INITIAL USE. IT IS
RECOMMENDED TO USE 120 VOLT AC ADAPTER
METHOD. If the power is totally drained from the battery
and not recharged, the battery may not be rechargeable.
This unit is NOT intended for recharging a vehicle’s battery.
Never start the vehicle when the 12 volt DC recharging
adapter is plugged into the vehicle accessory outlet. Never
insert anything other than the supplied power/recharging
cords or recommended appliance power/recharging cords
into the charging or power outlet on this unit.
Charging the battery while the vehicle’s engine is not
running, is not recommended as it could drain the vehicle’s
battery. If the unit is used too long after the red light comes
on, recharging could take up to 20 hours.
