AM Radio Transmitter Kit
Broadcast your own radio show
If you ever dreamed of having your
own radio station, here is your low cost
opportunity. You can set up your own
AM station and broadcast crystal clear
programming from your studio with
you as the disc jockey or talk show
host. Play music from your CD player,
tape deck or other source. You can
choose any clear frequency in the AM
broadcast band from 530 to 1750 KHz
and broadcast interference free to your
neighborhood. Your kit accepts a stan-
dard line level or microphone input so it’s easy to con-
nect to CD players, tape decks or mike mixers. Has
audio level adjustment. Has high level AM modulation
for low distortion. An FCC license is not required.

this powerful 5-Watt 2 Meter transmit-
ter! The versatile VEC-1202 2-Meter
Transmitter Kit accepts microphone
input, AFSK data (up to 1200 baud)
and FSK data (up to 9600 baud). With
both reactance and direct FM modula-
tors on board, you jumper-select the
best one for your particular application.
A reliability proven Motorola NBFM
transmitter IC and PA transistor are at
the heart of this rock-stable crystal-
controlled project (x8 frequency multi-
plication). Standard 5-pin DIN mic connections
match most “CB” type microphones -- including PTT
function. Power output is typically5-6 watts with
spurs and harmonics at -60 dBc. Construction and tuning are sim-
ple with the help of a carefully written step-by-step manual. Runs

many standard FM broadcast signals
are a host of very interesting pro-
gramming, that you can listen to for
free? You’ll find commercial free
background music that restaurants
and hotels subscribe to, all news pro-
grams, weather reports, stock quotes,
digital data, ethnic programs broad-
cast in different languages, reading services for the
blind and much more. This programming is broadcast
in SCA subcarriers of many FM broadcast signals.
By connecting the VEC-422K to the detector output of your FM
receiver, you can enjoy this programming. The VEC-422K tunes
the entire SCA band from 50 to 100 KHz with front panel tuning
and volume control. A PLL (phase-locked-loop) integrated circuit
gives excellent performance. Has low level audio output and built-
in amplifier to drive an external speaker. VECTRONICS kits fea-
