LENS ADAPTER MANUAL FOR T MOUNT & M42
INTRODUCTION Thank you for choosing a Vello Lens Adapter. Vello Lens Adapters allow you to mount a camera body to a telescope, spotting scope, microscope, or certain lenses. You must also have an SLR camera adapter that fits your telescope. You’ll also need to minimize shutter release vibrations that can cause blurring during the long exposures typical with these optics. Vello makes a wide range of remotes and shutter release cables to control your shutter.
TO MOUNT THE LENS ADAPTER 1. You must have an SLR camera adapter. Screw the lens adapter onto the SLR adapter. 2. Line up the alignment dots on the lens adapter and camera. Rotate the assembly until it locks.
3. Remove the eyepiece from your telescope, spotting scope, or microscope. 4. Mount the camera/adapter assemblies to your optic device. Make certain the setup is stable.
5. If desired, you can re-align the lens to a specific position. To re-align the lens, use a 2 mm flat-head screwdriver to loosen the three screws on the lens mount. Rotate the lens to the desired position, and tighten the three screws. TO REMOVE THE LENS ADAPTER 1. If you prefer, you can leave the lens adapter attached to your SLR adapter. Release the camera/adapter assemblies from the telescope.
2. Press the lens release on the camera, rotate the adapter assembly to release and remove. 3. Unscrew the SLR camera adapter from the lens adapter. Replace all protective covers.
