Step 1 - Sizing the return air filter grille. Measure the size of the hole to

figure the grille size. For an approximately 20 inch by 20 inch hole size,

the size of the grille is 20x20.

Step 2 – The filter grille consists of two parts – frame and grille. Only

the frame needs to be installed first after removing the grille. If it’s a

replacement then after removing the grille, remove the old frame by

uninstalling the screws. Put in the new frame and hold it in place using

the built in tabs. After that secure it with screws. Then you can attach

the new grille and you are done.

Step 3 – If it is new installation then we recommend use of trained and

licensed HVAC technician. This can require cutting the duct board and

securing the hole so that the filter frame can be installed. Put in the

new frame and hold it in place using the built in tabs. After that secure

it with screws. Then you can attach the new grille and you are done.
